What are system-level objects?

A system-level object is anything on a computer system required for its operation, including but not limited to application executables and configuration files, system configuration files, static and shared libraries and DLLs, system executables, device drivers and device configuration files, and third-party components.Refer to the definition of "system-level objects" in the applicable glossary for the version of the standard being used.
