As a merchant, should I delay purchasing decisions on a UPT or a PED device until new listings are up or the modular approach is introduced?
No. The council will continue to offer approved device listings on our website. Any proposed changes to the PTS program discussed at the Community Meeting will have no material impact on how a merchant selects a UPT or PED device. The concept of a PCI SSC approved device does not change as a result of the program name change or a move to a modular approach to testing PTS program elements.
